Deck professional Edward Delaquila took to the What’s Going on Saratoga Facebook page to make a clever marketing ploy amid the season’s first major heat wave.
And in a sea of angry posts that can easily score 100-plus comments, it went widely unnoticed.
In fact, it had only one lonely like.
“This week, it will be hot enough to fry an egg on your deck,” Delaquila wrote, before cleverly adding, “Let’s clean it first. ”
Maybe it was the use of refreshing emojis (a sun and splash of water? sold!), or the fact that he took the time to write something clever. Or maybe it really was just a welcome break from the usual often-useless, back-and-forth arguments. But bravo, Mr. Delaquila. If I had a deck to be powerwashed, you’d be my first call.
He offers a free quote for fast drying, deep cleaning. If anyone does call (802-733-9702), I hope he’s as charming to work with in person.
